These are some of my vacation
pictures!
Taken in September, 2006
Presenting: Seattle
This is the Space Needle, built for
the 1964 World's Fair.
It is 520 feet tall and it sways an inch for every 10 MPH of
wind!
There is a revolving restaurant at the top. It was the second
restaurant in the world to revolve. There is a monorail to
carry passengers to and from downtown Seattle.
This is downtown Seattle, as seen from
one of the many ferries.
One of the many modern skyscrapers in
downtown Seattle.
This is the famous Pike Place Fish
Market.
There is a great selection of fresh fish and other many other
items.
It is also home to the world's first Starbucks, although I
much prefer Seattle's Best brand of coffee.
One of the many stores selling fresh
fish at the market.
These ladies were playing for tips at
the Pike Place Public Market.
The quartet really packed a lot of punch in them fiddles!
This is a typical view looking west
from downtown Seattle.
This is the new ultra modern Seattle
Public Library.
I guess the architect didn't like to use straight lines . . .
This has to be one of the most unusual
parking structures out there.
A Triangular 4 story garage and each level has it's own
entrance.
You cannot go up or down, only park on the floor where you go
in.
There are many tulip farms just outside
Seattle.
Field after field of brightly colored tulips.
These were adorning one of the many skyscrapers.
